Within the new Seagate hdd firmware repair software, the COM terminal operations are running more smoothly and quickly.
With one simple B command, for example B3, users can get a support list of different baud rates for the current hard drive. Users can select 38400, 115200, 230400, 460800, 921600, 3000000, 6000000, etc to backup ROM or SYS files by COM mode. Please note some old drives don’t support high baud rates.
When the Seagate hard drive is unstable and not detected or busy, when the firmware area is locked(SED lock), the users need to operate with firmware area by COM mode.
